RESEARCH GRANT INFORMATION:
A letter from Diane Brandon,
Vice-President, Funds Allocation, Cancer League of Colorado:
TO INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS ENGAGED
IN CANCER RESEARCH IN COLORADO:
Cancer League funds are used
to support cancer research projects by qualified individuals and
organizations in Colorado chosen on the recommendation of a
volunteer Scientific Advisory Board consisting of specialists in
cancer research, as well as Cancer League of Colorado board members.
This year's distinguished
Scientific Advisory
Board is being chaired by Dr.
Ross Kedl, Ph.D. Advisory Board Chair, CLC SAB Assistant Professor,
Department of Immunology University of Colorado National Jewish
Medical and Research Center.
If you are actively involved in cancer research through
laboratory, clinical or community studies, we invite you to submit
an application to Cancer League for funding of a worthy research project.
Grants are of two types: research and
fellowship.
It should be noted that Cancer League emphasizes funding of
innovative studies, collaborative or inter-institutional research in
its formative stages, and pilot projects. Cancer League grants are
not intended to substitute for or supplement conventional granting
mechanisms. Thus, applications already submitted for funding
elsewhere, or those for support of on-going or established research
projects will not be considered without adequate justification.
Application for the current year must be received by noon Friday,
March 19, 2010 and must adhere strictly to Cancer League instructions.
Applications that do not conform to the requirements may be
returned without review. Recipients of grant funding from Cancer
League will be notified by June 30, 2010.
Send application to:
Cancer League of
Colorado, Inc.
