About the Event
Join us Sunday, August 21st at 9 a.m. in Washington Park for the 26th Annual Cancer League of Colorado Race for Research, in memory of Michele Plachy-Rubin. The timed 5K walk/run kicks off with the Kids Fund Run for kids 12 and under. Then all runners and walkers wind around the park and pass through the Morton Publishing’s Miracle Mile, where posters honoring loved ones touched by cancer are displayed.
After crossing the finish line, relax and have fun in the post-race Expo, where you can enjoy a free pancake breakfast, a free craft beer in the Beer Garden, and dance to the live band Look Both Ways. Wander through the Expo booths to pick up fun giveaways and drop the kids off in the Kid Zone where they can ride the kiddie train and play games with the clowns from the Colorado Clown Alley.
